This booklet provides the reader with an analysis of the Three Expanses relying on the classical sources of the Great Perfection. As the true expression of the natural state of the individual, Dzogchen is defined in its texts as an immeasurable Expanse (klong) that arises—as stated by Longchenpa—according to three Expanses (klong gsum), namely : 1. the Expanse of the Diamond Quintessence (rdo rje snying po’iklong) ; 2. the Expanse of the Natural Flow (rang bzhin babs kyi long) ; and 3. the extraordinary Expanse of the Primordial Immensity (ye ‘byams rmad du byung ba’i klong).
